I would like to put forth a desire to have this page put under consideration to be effectively rewritten, given the blatent and almost obnoxious amount of biased writing shown here. LordKat was a member of Channel Awesome, yes, and deserves a place here on the site. Put bluntly, his page does not deserve to be an effective shrine to him.
Without deleting this talk page outright, I would like to have genuine discussion on if changes should be made, how they should be made if needed, and what needs to be done to keep in check potential edit wars.
For instance, my personal stance is that the page needs to be rewritten from scratch, with a focus on facts as opposed to unbridled praise. This should be done by a trusted senior editor, or at the very least watched over by one, in my opinion. And, following this, the page needs to be locked from edits to prevent the same problamatic page from being forced back to the front by overzealous fans, or worse yet, the content producer himself.
This is not meant to be seen as an attack on LordKat or his fans. This is meant as a clarification of facts, to avoid appearances of amateur writing and worship being at the forefront of the site. As an aside, I fear for the integrity of the site if we are allowing this man to be called a god of the internet, following his rather damning actions. That aside, the point I wish to make clear is that this page needs to be changed in my opinion, and short of editing it myself, I wish to open the forum to see the views of other people.184.147.26.222 03:06, June 25, 2013 (UTC)
Maybe it should've been clarified in the page, but it was a profile written by LordKat himself. What I've done is allowed contributors the decision over if we write them or they do. Most choose for us to, but the ones who haven't write as them as they want to. If you DO want a more factually accurate profile, I'm not against it. --Spike's Girl (talk) 15:46, June 25, 2013 (UTC)
