Snob: The results of last week's poll are in, and while Godzilla has fought everything from Mothra, to Mechagodzilla, to Megalon, (Poster for Puppet Master) turns out he was no match for a collection of puppets! (The poll results are shown, with Godzilla: King of the Monsters! at 77 votes, Phantasm at 53, Puppet Master at 82, and Until September at 34; it then zooms in) Clearly, Godzilla became very winded by wiping out early the Tall Man and forgotten melodrama! (Back to the Snob) This is why Godzilla was very sweaty after a long battle in (Poster for, with Godzilla over it...) the lost 1979 film Godzilla vs. Dreamer!

Cover for Puppet Master: The First 25 Years

Snob (VO): Typically, the Puppet Master series is (Cut to a Wikipedia listing) fighting against the Amityville series in (Another Wikipedia listing) "How Many Sequels Does This Thing Have?!" (The Full Moon logo zooms in) From producer Charles Band, Puppet Master is the flagship series of his Full Moon Productions. (Clips follow) Originally intended as a theatrical 1989 release, Band felt it better and more profitable to release the film as a direct-to-video feature. And... well... given its cult status and endless sequels, I guess that was the right call. The film tells the story of what happens when a group of psychics meet in a fancy hotel to square off against some evil puppets that they totally see coming because they're psychics! (From the opening titles...) The film was directed by David Schmoeller, previously behind (Posters follow) Tourist Trap and Crawlspace, YEARS before (Still of...) sweeping Rachel off her feet! (Back to the movie) Co-written by Kenneth J. Hall of Evil Spawn, the film also showcased special effects by David Allen, who also worked on (More posters follow) everything from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids to Willow to Flesh Gordon and Ghostbusters II and, uh, oh, well, this one (Dolls) seems like a given.

Snob: This movie is destined to give me nightmares of waking up with tiny wooden men in my ass!

The film's title is shown

Snob: That's a soundtrack that says "It's possible that trolls might turn up in this!"
