(The shortened title sequence plays. Then we open on the steps of a Hollywood studio, all rendered in crude cartoon form. An animated reel of film sits on the steps. NC walks up to it.)

NC: Hey, who are you?

Animated Film Reel (voice of Doug): (to the tune of I'm Just a Bill) ♫ I'm just a film. Well, not yet I'm not. (holds up a binder) But if I sell the script, I become I, Robot! ♫

NC: Oh, okay, okay. (takes binder) I see where this is going. (kicks roll away) We don't need the song. I get the gist.

(NC enters the studio – which is actually his house.)
