It’s like a high budget, well-written Disney Channel movie, except there’s less focus on emotion and more on jokes. But the jokes do usually work, and there’s just enough emotion as the kid doesn’t want any money for the idea, he just wants his credibility returned. It’s such a silly thing in many respects, but it’s definitely a kid thing to do, too. And maybe that’s the best way I can describe it: Silly, but for kids, with even a few good laughs thrown in for adults. It’s nothing great, but it’s just the right amount of goofy for me.
